Thirty years after they met at the place, Mike and Chris Amble took over ownership of the former Schummer’s Backwoods Bar & Grill, which they’ve renamed Scrambie’s Trailside Tavern.

The drive-thru will continue its soft opening through January, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, serving a full menu of coffee and other beverages.
The Blue Oyster’s menu will feature a combination of Thai and American dishes, including burgers, pasta and small plates. Mushrooms from Puposky Pearl will be prominent in some of the recipes.

The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays in the former Dairy Queen location next to JCPenney’s main entrance in the Paul Bunyan Mall.
