Fishing piers and boat ramps were buzzing with excitement at the crack of dawn on Saturday as Bemidji-area anglers got out on the water to participate in the Minnesota fishing opener.
Bemidjians jingled all the way around the area to see a whole slew of Christmas lights the past few weeks to vote for their favorite homes and downtown window displays.
