To say this winter has been unusual would be an understatement. Temperatures have been uncharacteristically mild, with more days hovering above freezing than below.
Some winter staples, such as Lake Bemidji State Park's annual First Day Hike have had to adapt due to the obvious lack of snow and warmer temps, while others, like the Snowjourn, have been canceled altogether. Nevertheless, the spirit of winter remains firmly in place in Bemidji.
