According to data shared with the release:

The Minnesota State Patrol’s Detroit Lakes district reported 18 DWI arrests, including one of a driver with a 0.28% blood alcohol content.

The Becker County Sheriff's Office arrested 13 drivers for DWI, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office arrested 10 and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested two.

Police departments in Moorhead, Hawley and Dilworth reported six, two and one DWI arrests, respectively.

The Department of Public Safety's Office of Traffic Safety coordinated the statewide enforcement with funding from the National Highway Safety Administration, the release said.

“To those sober drivers I say thank you; it really was a gift. For those who chose to drive impaired, we’re grateful to our law enforcement partners who are relentlessly protecting Minnesotans from those reckless decisions,” Office of Traffic Safety Director Mike Hanson said in the release.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
