Andy Rennecke is the sports editor for St. Cloud LIVE. He focuses on writing in-depth high school and college sports features for the St. Cloud metro area.

Rennecke has been a professional sports writer since 2003 when he got his start at the Mitchell Daily Republic in Mitchell, S.D. Rennecke worked in Mitchell from 2003-07 as a sports writer and sports editor. He was the Marshall Independent's sports editor from July 2007 through October 2008 before coming back to Central Minnesota in October 2008 with the St. Cloud Times. Rennecke covered Central Minnesota college and high school sports for the Times from 2008-2015.

He's a Cosmos, Minnesota, native and a 2003 St. Cloud State graduate with a bachelor's degree in mass communications/print journalism and a minor in film.

Andy lives in St. Joseph with his wife, Jessica, and their kids, Matthew and Quinn. He also has a dog named Dash, who has basically become his third child. Andy's interests include collecting baseball bobbleheads and listening to Weezer, Green Day and The Killers. He also rewatches "Scrubs," "Cheers" and "Detroiters" whenever possible.
