Beltrami County is set to start a road construction project along Irvine Avenue NW between Northern Township and Turtle River Township on Monday, June 9.
The council approved a slew of motions, including a resolution to file a petition to annex a portion of Northern Township, a motion to increase City Manager Rich Spiczka's salary and a bid for a road project.
The project will feature five city roads: Hannah Avenue NW, Norton Avenue NW, 14th Street NW, Taft Avenue NE and Mill Street NE. Construction will begin on Friday, May 9.
Construction for needed site improvements have begun at the Bemidji Solid Waste Transfer Station. Beltrami County Solid Waste anticipates the site will remain fully operational during this time.
