Curtis Takkunen formed Pier Country in 1999 when he lived in Hibbing. The band includes musicians from throughout the region, from the Twin Cities to Grand Rapids to Fargo.
Local artists will perform at Bemidji Brewing's "Sunset Sounds" concert series from 7 to 9 p.m. on select Saturdays, May 31-Aug. 23.
