BEMIDJI – The Bemidji State softball team finally got to play a game in Bemidji this season.
After playing their first 38 games on the road, the Beavers hosted Minnesota Crookston on Wednesday at Chet Anderson Stadium for a doubleheader.

BSU lost the first game 4-2, then rebounded to pick up a 9-1 win.
Kennedy Joachim was in the circle for the win. She pitched all five innings, allowing seven hits, one earned run and striking out four batters.
Bemidji State scored five combined runs in the second and third innings. Aubrey Aukerman brought in an unearned run with a single before Mariah Stevenson made it 3-0 with an RBI single. Molly Houts later tripled in a run, then scored on a wild pitch.
The Beavers (16-24, 3-13 NSIC) capped off the win with RBI doubles from Calleigh Richards, Aery Amidon and Morgan Benedict had RBI doubles in the fifth inning.
The Golden Eagles (15-26, 3-11 NSIC) never trailed in the first game. They scored twice in the fourth inning and once in the fifth and seventh innings.
Alaya DeGraef and Amidon had RBI singles in the loss.
