Toddler believed abducted in west-central Minnesota found safe; Amber Alert canceled, suspect in custody

WESTPORT, Minn. — The toddler believed abducted Thursday near Westport has been found safe and a suspect is in custody. The Amber Alert has been canceled.

Robert Ramirez, 2, was found early Friday, said the Pope County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office said more information will be released on Friday.

According to the Pope County Sheriff, they received word of a missing child near Westport early Thursday morning. Throughout the day investigators developed information and came to believe Ramirez had been abducted. An Amber Alert was issue late Thursday afternoon by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
