Canby, Minnesota, man dies in rollover crash in western Minnesota construction zone

A 57-year-old man from Canby died Tuesday after driving into a construction zone on Minnesota Highway 68 in western Minnesota where his vehicle struck a sign and rolled over, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

PORTER — A Canby, Minnesota, man died Tuesday in a rollover crash in a western Minnesota construction zone.

Robert Willam Larsen, 57, was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on state Highway 68 near 140th Street in Porter when the vehicle entered a construction area and struck a sign, causing the vehicle to roll over, according to the report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

Sanford Canby Medical Center was listed as the treating facility.

It is not known if Larsen was wearing his seat belt, according to the report, and alcohol being involved is listed as unknown.
