Victim of bull attack identified as 64-year-old Parkers Prairie man

The incident happened Saturday at a farm in Otter Tail County

PARKERS PRAIRIE, Minn. — A 64-year-old man has died after being attacked by a bull at a farm property west of Parkers Prairie in Effington Township.

According to the , a 911 call came in at 6:14 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, reporting that Jerry Altman, of Parkers Prairie, was being attacked by a bull.

The Sheriff's Office report said law enforcement officers euthanized the bull in order to render aid to Altman. Altman was later pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.

The incident is under investigation by the Otter Tail County's Sheriff's Office.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Parkers Prairie Police, Fire and EMS, along with the and LifeLink III helicopter.
