Ruttger's 3rd annual Birchmont Winter Bash kicks off Friday

A winter weekend full of fun is set to start on Friday, Feb. 23, with the third annual Birchmont Winter Bash taking place at Ruttger's Birchmont Lodge.

BEMIDJI — Friday is set to start off a weekend full of winter fun, with the third annual Birchmont Winter Bash at Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge.

The three-day event will feature games, raffles, craft shows, treasure hunts, live music and more, promising fun for adults and children alike.

Festivities start on Friday, Feb. 23, with raffles being held throughout the day. A poker run will be held from 3 to 7:30 p.m., Bemidji Brewing will take over the taps at 6 p.m. and karaoke starts at 8 p.m. in the outdoor tent.

Friday will also have the Birchmont Dash, otherwise known as the Beer Olympics, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Teams of two people each can participate to complete the highest number of challenges within the time limit to win, and proceeds support Bemidji Youth Hockey. Pre-registration is encouraged, participants must be 21 or older, and the price is set at $10 per team.

Saturday, Feb. 24, has an equally busy schedule, with a craft show running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bar Bingo will start at noon, with proceeds once again supporting Bemidji Youth Hockey, participants must be 18 or older.

A cornhole tournament will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, with two-person teams able to register for $10 per team. Raffles will once again be held throughout the day, with all the events leading up to live music beginning at 7 p.m. in the outdoor tent.

The first band to play will be The Lonely Loons Club, followed by Corey Medina and Brothers at 9 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 25, will be a Family Fun Day. Raffles continue, alongside a treasure hunt where participants will go looking for a special medallion to win a prize. Sleigh rides will start at 2 p.m., and toasty bonfires, s’mores and hot chocolate will be available throughout the day.
