Railroad crossing on Adams Avenue to be closed for construction Sept. 3-5

A section of Adams Avenue NW, just south of 15th Street NW, will be closed starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, while the railroad crossing is replaced. It is expected to reopen Sept. 6.

BEMIDJI — The Beltrami County Highway Department has announced that Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will begin replacing the railroad crossing on Adams Avenue NW (County State-Aid Highway 11), located just south of 15th Street NW, on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The road will be closed to traffic starting at 9 a.m. and is expected to remain closed until the end of the day on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Motorists traveling through the area will need to find alternate routes, as no official detour will be provided. Drivers are urged to exercise caution and reduce speed when passing through nearby work zones.
