Bemidji Brewing holds Oktoberfest celebration

Bemidji Brewing hosted Oktoberfest events Oct. 1-5, bringing the community together to celebrate the spirit of the season with festive activities, delicious food, craft beer and live music.

BEMIDJI — Bemidji Brewing hosted a fun-filled week-long Oktoberfest event Oct. 1-5, bringing the community together to celebrate the spirit of the season with festive activities, delicious food, craft beer and live music.

The festivities kicked off on Tuesday with a lively performance by the folk trio, Caleigh, who enchanted attendees with their harmonious melodies. Attendees delighted in traditional German baked goods from The Dog Star Bakery on both Tuesday and Wednesday, adding a sweet touch to the celebration, a release said.

Wednesday saw the excitement ramp up with an engaging game of Oktoberfest Bingo, where participants enjoyed friendly competition and the chance to win fun prizes.

On Thursday, participants joined in on a lively scavenger hunt that encouraged exploration of the brewery, followed by a delicious grill-out featuring offerings from Downtown Meats.

Friday was a highlight of the week with vibrant beer gardens, the popular Barge Food Truck serving savory bites and a costume contest, where attendees showcased their creativity and spirit.

To wrap up the week, Saturday featured another round of beer gardens, yard games and live entertainment with the delightful Bemidji Bogtrotters, ensuring a festive atmosphere for all.

Throughout the event, participants were entered into a week-long meat raffle with each pint of Oktoberfest beer purchased.

In the release, Oktoberfest organizers extended their heartfelt appreciation to the community for participating and supporting Bemidji Brewing during the event.

"Your enthusiasm and support for local businesses make our events possible, and we look forward to creating more memorable experiences together," Bemidji Brewing Marketing and Engagement Manager Mallory Arnold said in the release. "It was a week to remember. Cheers to good times and great company!"
