Beltrami County DFL to hold Pizza and Programs July 17

The Beltrami County Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party will hold its monthly Pizza and Programs event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the DFL office, 1510 Bemidji Ave. N.

BEMIDJI — The Beltrami County Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party will hold its monthly Pizza and Programs event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the DFL office, 1510 Bemidji Ave. N.

“Pizza and Programs” sessions are a series of informal discussions and dialogue with invited speakers who are community organizers and leaders.

The July session features Lydia Pietruszewski, director of Pine Pals Child Care Centers.

"Her presentation will examine the current child care collapse and what child care needs in order to be a system that works as an integral part of social safety nets," a release said.

There will also be discussion of the state of child care in Minnesota, the perceived impacts of the reconciliation bill and asks for prioritizing child care and Head Start in appropriations, the release added.
