Jennifer Kotila is a reporter for West Central Tribune of Willmar, Minnesota. She focuses on local government, specifically the City of Willmar, and business.

While attending St. Cloud State University, Jennifer majored in women's studies and history.

From 2010 to 2015, she worked at Herald Journal Publishing of Winsted, Minnesota, writing for both the Herald Journal and Dassel-Cokato Enterprise Dispatch. She focused on feature stories for Howard Lake and Dassel-Cokato, as well as covering Howard Lake City Council, Cokato City Council, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted ÍáÍáÂþ»­ Board and Dassel-Cokato ÍáÍáÂþ»­ Board.

She was also the sports reporter for the Enterprise Dispatch from 2013 to 2015.

From 2016 to 2022, she was a freelance reporter for Isanti-Chisago County Star in Camrbidge, Minnesota, focusing on local government, specifically City of Isanti City Council and Isanti County.

Jennifer has won two Minnesota Newspaper Association Awards.

"The thing I enjoy most about being a reporter for local newspapers is that we are the history keepers - writing the history of the area as it happens," Jennifer said.
