BEMIDJI — The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program is again providing tax preparation assistance from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays, July 14 and Aug. 11, at the Bemidji Senior Center, 216 Third St. NW.
These times are available especially to help area residents with Minnesota Property Tax Refund and Rent Credit returns. Other returns can be prepared as well if time allows, a release said.

No appointments will be taken and the number of people seen each day may be limited based on the number of volunteers available.
Clients will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis and should be prepared to wait for the next available counselor.
Anyone wanting to file a tax return will need to bring a photo ID and social security cards for all individuals on the return. If a 2024 tax return has been filed, attendees should bring that along with the 2025 property tax statement or 2024 certificate of rent paid.
If a 2024 return has not been filed, participants should bring copies of all forms of income, amounts of deductible items such as charitable contributions, bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit of refunds and a copy of their 2023 tax return if it is available, the release said.
This free service is provided by the Bemidji Senior Center, the AARP Foundation, IRS and the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
