BEMIDJI — In the wake of the recent severe storm, the Bemidji United Methodist Church has partnered with local organizations to lead a community-wide relief effort.
BUMC has partnered with NLFX Professional, the United Way of the Bemidji Area, and has received logistical support from Wintersteen Trucking to help manage and distribute essential materials provided by the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

Under the leadership of Pastor Deborah Davis, this collaboration aims to provide support to local families and individuals impacted by the storm, a release noted.
"What we’ve seen in the wake of this disaster is the true spirit of our community: neighbors stepping up without hesitation to help one another," Denae Alamano, Executive Director of the United Way of the Bemidji Area, said in the release. "From volunteering and donating, the Bemidji community has shown what it means to Live United."

This partnership demonstrates the strength of a community uniting in the face of adversity, the release noted.
"When Pastor Davis and the church reached out, we knew we had to help," Ben Stowe, President of NLFX Professional, said in the release. "We are proud to lend our resources and team to support this vital, church-led community effort."
