The Tavern, Ruttger's earn best bloody mary awards at BSO's 'Bloody Mary Battle' fundraiser
The Tavern and Ruttger's recently earned awards for the best bloody mary at the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra's first "Bloody Mary Battle" fundraiser. Fozzie's Smokin Bar-B-Q earned best skewer.

The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra recently announced the winners of its first "Bloody Mary Battle" fundraiser, held on Jan. 28.
At the event, local restaurants went head to head to find out who makes the best bloody mary and skewer, with official judges and attendees voting for their favorites. The judges were Kev Jackson, Nancy Haugen and Ian Heriot.

The Tavern won Judge's Choice Award for Best Bloody Mary and Ruttger's received the People's Choice Award. Fozzie's Smokin Bar-B-Q was given the Best Skewer Award.
Other area restaurants that entered the contest included Red Stu, Knob & Kettle, Wilton Liquor Store, Brigid's Pub and Table for 7.
