BRAINERD – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» girls swimming and diving team swam against tough competition in Brainerd on Saturday.
Elle Wille, Abby Daman and Finley Zothman recorded eight of the Lumberjacks’ seven top-six times. Daman took fifth in the 200 IM (2:26.50) and second in the 100 breaststroke, while Zothman took sixth in the 50 freestyle (25.79) and third in the 100 freestyle (56.29).

Wille took fifth place in the 200 free at 2:07.55 and sixth in the 500 free at 5:50.84.
Wille, Zothman and Daman teamed up with Kiera Strodman to take fifth in the 200-yard free relay (1:47.09). Strodman swapped with Josie Carter to take fifth in the 400 free relay at 3:58.73.
Bemidji’s best finish of the day came on the diving board and in the 100 breaststroke. Kennedy Olson finished in second place in diving with a score of 340.65 — training only Monticello’s Chloe Schwietering by 12.10 points — and Daman took second in the 100 breaststroke.
