Tanner Johnson, Kyle Millar and Chloe Derby pace Jacks in Hibbing

HIBBING – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ cross country team had a good showing in Hibbing on Thursday afternoon.

The Lumberjack boys took fifth place with 167 points. The girls finished in ninth place in their field, recording 253 points.

Chloe Derby clocked a top-10 time, finishing in seventh place at 20:19.0. Raya Nordlund (22:37.2, 52nd), Adeline Runnigen (23:00.2, 55th), Claire Story (23:34.7, 73rd) and Sydney Beise (24:12.9, 84th) completed the top-five finishers for the BHS girls. Brenalen Fredricksen-Holm also competed, finishing in 85th place (24:16.8).

Tanner Johnson and Kyle Millar led the way for the boys. Johnson clocked a 23rd-place time of 17:53.1, while Millar took 26th (17:57.6). Blake Dewitt (18:03.0, 31st), William Ames (18:08.4, 34th), Deven Bentler (18:40.9, 53rd) and Daniel Scherling (18:45.0, 59th) rounded out the finishers for Bemidji.
