Strong first half propels Bemidji to clean-sheet win over Crookston

The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ boys soccer team scored three goals in the first half and earned a clean-sheet in net to secure a road win over Crookston Wednesday evening.

CROOKSTON – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ boys soccer team scored three goals in the first half and earned a clean sheet in net to secure a 3-0 road victory over Crookston Wednesday evening.

Isaac Stone opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks, cashing in on an assist from Austin Riewer in the 4th minute.

In the 12th minute, Riewer added some padding to the Jacks’ lead with a goal of his own, thanks to an assist from Jeron Huseby.

Brady Riley scored Bemidji’s final goal of the evening in the 28th minute to make it 3-0. Reed Johnson was credited with the assist.

The Lumberjacks’ clean sheet came courtesy of a pair of goalkeepers. Dash Hiller made one save in the first half and Hunter Olson didn’t have to make any in the second to keep the goose egg on the scoreboard.

Crookston’s goalkeeper Reggie Winjum made 11 saves on the night.
