St. Cloud Apollo knocks off Jacks behind 3 big shooting performances

Three St. Cloud Apollo high school boys basketball players showcased their offensive prowess on Tuesday night against Bemidji at the BHS Gymnasium.

BEMIDJI — Three St. Cloud Apollo high school boys basketball players showcased their offensive prowess on Tuesday night against Bemidji at the BHS Gymnasium.

Azayah Washington, Namarion Fields and Jaylen Ashfield combined for 70 points in the Eagles’ 88-73 win over the Lumberjacks. Washington totaled 28, while Fields and Ashfield tallied 24 and 18, respectively.

BHS had two scorers that tried to keep pace. Jaxon Boschee finished with a team-high 27, while Austin Riewer added 23. Jeron Huseby added nine points to the Jacks’ ledger.
