Spartans outlast Lumberjacks in low-scoring battle

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Points were hard to come by Saturday afternoon in Superior, Wis.

The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ boys basketball team suffered a 48-46 loss to Superior in a tightly-contested matchup. Despite the low-scoring nature of the game, one player from each team managed to find success on offense.

The Spartans’ Calvin Anderson scored 27 points, while the Lumberjacks’ Jaxon Boschee tallied 20.

Austin Riewer and Jeron Huseby pitched in eight and seven points, respectively, for the Jacks. Rhys Sneide tallied six points, Kobe Brown collected three and Charlie Zellmann grabbed two to round out the scoring for BHS.
