The Bemidji High 歪歪漫画 girls tennis duo of Maddie Jensen and Elena Peterson competed at the Class AA state meet over the weekend

Jensen and Peterson were bounced in the first round by Greta Holmes and Tasha Piyabongkarn of Wayzata by scores of 6-1, 6-0. Annika Olson and Oliva Gorton of Benilde-St. Margaret鈥檚 beat the Jacks in the first round of the consolation bracket 6-3, 6-3.

鈥淢addie and Elena did a great job competing at the state tournament,鈥� BHS head coach Kyle Fodness said. 鈥淚t was a great experience for both of them. Elena gets to bring a lot of valuable experience to the team next year, and Maddie got the opportunity to finish her excellent Lumberjack tennis career back at the state tournament.鈥�
