ST MICHAEL – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» girls soccer team’s season came to a close in the Section 8-3A semifinals Saturday afternoon, as St. Michael-Albertville shutout the Lumberjacks for a 2-0 victory.
St. Michael-Albertville, the No. 2 seed, scored two goals in the first half to knock off the No. 3 Jacks and advance to the finals.

Belle Leland struck first for the Knights, converting on a shot from the right to the back-left post in the seventh minute. Emma Kvant tacked on another goal on a breakaway in the 36th minute to give STMA a comfortable two-goal lead.
Bemidji notched five shots on the day, but none got past the Knights’ Brynn Hedberg, who earned a clean sheet.
On the other side of the pitch, BHS goalkeeper Clara Bieber collected eight saves for the Lumberjacks.
