Lumberjacks notch top-3 finish at Pokegama in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ girls golf team took their first trip to Pokegama in Grand Rapids this spring on Tuesday.

The Lumberjacks finished in third place with a score of 369. They trailed in Brainerd (341) and Grand Rapids (367) to finish in the top three.

Taylor Schuelke had the low score of 85, which was good enough for fourth overall in the field. Brynn Meyer (90, seventh) and Halle Sanden (94, ninth) also finished inside the top 10 individually. Stella Schoonover (100, 18th), Aurora Frank (101, 19th) and Mickaylee Garrigan (101, 19th) rounded out the day for BHS.

Brainerd’s Madelyn Holmstrom carded the lowest round of any individual at 79.
