Jaxon Boschee hits 1,000-point milestone in Jacks鈥� convincing win over Delano

DELANO 鈥� Jaxon Boschee scored 35 points.

It鈥檚 not uncommon that the Bemidji High 歪歪漫画 boys basketball junior guard puts up a big point total. He typically crossed the 20-point threshold in most games. However, Saturday鈥檚 contest against Delano came with some added flair.

Boschee鈥檚 game-high was enough to eclipse the 1,000-point milestone in an 84-48 win over the Tigers, capping a 2-0 road trip.

Boschee is the 10th player in BHS history to reach 1,000 points. He needs to average just under 20 points per game over the rest of his high school career to break the program scoring record, set by Jim Jensen in 1978 at 1,763 points.

Charlie Zellmann and Jerson Huseby chipped in with 11 apiece. Austin Riewer added 10 for the Jacks (4-2). Delano鈥檚 (4-4) leading scorer was Jake Schults with 13 points.
