It paved the way for more postseason heroics from Jasmine Hovda, who helped propel the Rams to a Section 8AA title last winter with a broken hand. Hovda beat two BHS defenders before scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to clinch a 3-2 win and a rematch with Moorhead in the 8AA title game.

Ella Ketring and Hovda scored for Roseau in the first period. Megan Berg cut the lead in half in the second period, with assists from Johnson and Rupp. Emma Greiner and Rupp assisted on Johnson’s breakaway goal.

Both goaltenders were on their game. Ava Myhre made 20 saves for the Jacks, while Madi Lisell stopped 22 for the Rams.

Bemidji ended its season with a record of 16-10-1.
