BEMIDJI – The hockey cliche about two-goal leads was evident on Thursday night at the Bemidji Community Arena.

The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» boys hockey team led 3-1 entering the third period against East Grand Forks, which the adage states is the hardest lead to keep in sports. The Green Wave tied the game with third-period goals from Jace Panzer and Cooper Hills. Panzer, the brother of Bemidji State men’s hockey freshman Jaksen Panzer, scored short-handed four and a half minutes into the final period before Hills tied the game with less than four minutes left in regulation.

Christian Hill stopped 25 shots for BHS, while Noah Schindele made 37 saves for EGF.
