GIRLS SWIMMING AND DIVING: Spuds edge Bemidji 92-84 in road dual

Bemidji will return to the pool at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, for a dual meet at Detroit Lakes.

MOORHEAD -- The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ girls swimming and diving team came just a few points shy of Moorhead on Thursday, falling 92-84 in a dual meet in Moorhead.

The Lumberjacks ended the night with five event wins.

On the diving board, Kennedy Olson topped the podium with a score of 192.75. In the pool, Marley Ueland bested the field in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:11.04, while Ava Lietz clocked a 1:18.39 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke for first place.

BHS also had a pair of winning relays. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Ryan Gaskins, Elena Harmsen, Kylie Donat and Elle Wille teamed up for a first-place time of 1:52.91. And in the 400 free relay, Wille, Harmsen, Gaskins and Ueland posted a winning time of 4:15.65.
