GIRLS SOCCER: Bemidji loses shutout streak during 1-0 loss in 218 Tournament

BRAINERD -- Entering Friday night, nobody had figured a way to get past the Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ girls soccer team for the last 329 minutes.

But Paige Yeager needed just 38 minutes to crack the code on Friday night.

Yeager scored the lone goal of the night for Brainerd, snapping the Lumberjacks’ shutout streak and sinking them into a 1-0 loss to begin the 218 Tournament in Brainerd.

Bemidji generated four shots on goal throughout the match, but none beat Warriors keeper Gracelyn Dickinson. Kiera Nelson had seven saves for the Lumberjacks.

Bemidji (6-5-1) will now play in the tournament’s third-place game, which is set for noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, against Moorhead back in Brainerd.
