BEMIDJI -- Goals weren’t hard to come by for the Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» boys soccer team on Tuesday.
Behind seven different scorers, the Lumberjacks took it to Pelican Rapids by an 8-0 margin at Chet Anderson Stadium -- good for the team’s largest margin of victory this season.

Al Toward bagged his first varsity goal in the win, scoring off a feed from Conor Stodgell in the 71st minute. Stodgell added another goal six minutes later, and the two scores proved to be the exclamation point of a goal-filled game.
In the first half, Jacob Stanoch and Reed Johnson’s two-man game proved lethal for BHS (5-7-1). First, Johnson assisted Stanoch in the second minute for the opening goal. Stanoch returned the favor by setting up Johnson’s goal in the 38th minute. And just seconds before halftime, Stanoch netted another goal from Johnson’s feed.
In the second half, Brodie Price scored in the 49th minute, and Isaac Stone scored off a free kick in the 60th minute. Jonathan Devescovi got in on the action in the 64th minute, and then Toward and Stodgell finished up the night with their strikes.
Goalkeeper Connor Helm manned the net for Bemidji, ending the match with three saves. Vikings keeper Arturo Zavala racked up 10 saves for Park Rapids (2-9).
The Lumberjacks will return to the pitch to host East Grand Forks at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, at Chet Anderson Stadium.
