HERMANTOWN -- The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» boys basketball team continued its hot streak on Saturday in Hermantown. The Lumberjacks topped the Hawks 76-69, earning their eighth win in the past nine games.
The Jacks (12-5) won both halves by close margins. Bemidji took the first period 43-40, then stayed the course to win the second 33-29.

Gavin Luksik had a career performance for Bemidji, leading the Jacks with 30 points. He also chipped in 12 rebounds, six steals and six assists. Isaac Severts was close behind with 21 points and six boards. Khai Branham contributed 11 points, and Sam Wilson added three points and eight assists.
Blake Schmitz topped the Hawks (17-7) with 27 points, with Michael Lau adding 12.
Next up for the Lumberjacks is a matchup with St. Paul Johnson at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in St. Paul.
