MOORHEAD – It couldn’t have started any worse for the Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» boys hockey team.
Facing the No. 1 team in Class AA, the Lumberjacks fell behind Moorhead 2-0 in the first three and a half minutes on Tuesday night at the Moorhead Sports Center.

BHS crawled back into the game, but ultimately fell 3-1 in a pivotal Section 8AA contest.
Briggs Knott sliced the Spuds’ lead in half early in the second period. However, Brooks Cullen’s empty-net goal with 20 seconds left iced any shot of a comeback for the Jacks. Mason Kraft and Tyden Bergeson scored Moorhead’s first two goals.
Bemidji outshot the Spuds 24-21. Tate Metcalf stopped 19 shots for the Lumberjacks (10-3-1), while Charlie Stenehjem made 23 saves for the Spuds (14-1).
