Bemidji’s Chloe Derby, Tanner Johnson and Caleb Knott run in state meet

The final three runners for the Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ cross country team competed in Saturday afternoon's Class 3A state meet to wrap up the season.

FALCON HEIGHTS – The final three runners for the Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ cross country team wrapped up its season at the University of Minnesota’s Les Bolstad Golf Course Saturday afternoon, with all of them earning top-125 finishes at the Class 3A state meet.

The three runners – Tanner Johnson, Caleb Knott and Chloe Derby – each punched their ticket to state at last week’s Section 8-3A meet.

Johnson and Knott finished within one-tenths of a second of each other, notching race times of 17:00.5 and 17:00.6, respectively. Johnson wound up in 104th place, with Knott slotted just one spot behind in 105th.

On the girls side, Derby earned a 20:39.9 race time to finish 124th.
