Bemidji girls swimming and diving announces end-of-season awards

The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ girls and swimming and diving team has announced its end of season awards. Three team MVPs were named, and several others took home hardware. 25 Jacks earned varsity letters.

BEMIDJI — The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ girls and swimming and diving team announced its end of season awards, with numerous competitors taking home hardware.

The MVPs of the 2023 team are Abby Daman, Ryan Gaskins and Kennedy Olson. The Most Improved award was won jointly by Ella Yoder and Kylie Sonneman.

Kylie Donat was named Hardest Worker, while Ki Grospe claimed the Spirit award.

Anna Friedt took home top rookie honors, while Aubrey DeWitt won the Smack Award for diving.

The Lumberjacks placed several swimmers and divers within the top 16 at the Section 8AA meet this season, including Daman, Elle Wille, Donat, Elena Harmsen, Gaskins, Ridley Hadrava and Olson.

Sadie Borg, Josie Carter, Daman, DeWitt, Donat, Friedt, Gaskins, Kylie Graham, Grospe, Hadrava, Taylor Hanks, Harmsen, Emilie Jessen, Ava Lietz, Ella Lietz, Molly Matetich, Bailee Nielsen, Brooklyn Nielsen, Abby Olson, Kennedy Olson, Naomi Olson, Marley Ueland, Simone Ueland, Wille and Yoder all earned varsity letters in 2023.
