BEMIDJI – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ» girls swimming and diving team put on a thorough performance on Tuesday at the BHS pool.
The Lumberjacks swept two dual meets with Perham/New York Mills and Thief River Falls, beating the former 224.5-84.5 and the latter 184.5-127.5.

Bemidji topped several events en route to its dual wins. Elena Harmsen finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:16.66, and Marley Ueland topped the 200 individual medley field at 2:41.92. BHS swept the top three spots in the IM, as Elle Wille (2:42.86) and Ki Grospe (2:50.68) touched the wall second and third.
Josie Carter won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:13.57. Harmsen topped the 100 free, clocking in at 1:00.23, with Kylie Donat right behind her at 1:01.30.
Abby Daman finished in 5:52.28 to win the 500 free, followed by Ueland with a time of 6:22.11. Ava Lietz stopped the clock at 1:21.49 to emerge victorious in the 100 breaststroke.
Bemidji’s relay teams found success as well. The Lumberjacks swept both the 200 and 400 free relays.
Harmsen, Donat, Wille and Daman took the 200, winning in 1:48.03. In the 400, Harmsen, Donat, Wille and Molly Matetich clocked the top time of 4:09.56.
