STAPLES – The Bemidji High ÍáÍáÂþ»­ girls tennis team is one win away from clinching a perfect regular-season record.

The Lumberjacks thwarted Staples-Motley on Tuesday 6-1, moving to 22-0.

Lilly Caron, Bailey Rupp and Zoe McNallan each won singles matches in straight sets. Elena Peterson and Megan Berg teamed up to a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Sam Wood and Ruby McKean notched a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 2 doubles over Natalie Hanson and Sarah Kroll. Ava Myhre and Millie Knott rolled to a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles.

Bemidji hosts Brainerd at 4:30 on Thursday at the BHS tennis courts with an attempt to cap off an unblemished regular-season run. Brainerd is 15-1 this season.
