Itasca Waters' Practical Water Wisdom series continues at noon on Thursday, July 10, with a program on the invasive species starry stonewort.
The program will feature Daniel Larkin, a professor and Extension Specialist at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Fellow at the Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center.

Larkin will cover the history of starry stonewort in North America and Minnesota, the factors driving its spread, its effects on native aquatic plant communities and the latest control methods and outcomes, a release said.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the challenges and management strategies for this invasive species.
A Q&A will take place during the event.
The Practical Water Wisdom series is the brainchild of Itasca Waters, a nonprofit organization located in Itasca County whose mission is to team up with organizations and concerned citizens to maintain clean water for continued health, enjoyment and a strong economy.
The series runs for an hour beginning at noon, typically on the first Thursday of each month. The webinars are free, open to all and include an interactive Q&A session.
