Moorhead hands Bemidji 1st loss in 4 sets

The Bemidji High حلحلآ‏»­ volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday evening.

MOORHEAD – The Bemidji High حلحلآ‏»­ volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday evening, losing to Moorhead 3-1 on the road.

The Spuds bested the Lumberjacks in four sets, with wins of 25-21, 25-13 and 25-22. Bemidji won the third set 25-12.

Mollie Rupp earned a team-high 14 kills and a 0.234 hitting percentage in the loss. Norah Jacobson's six kills were good for second-most on the team.

Margie Anderson, who tallied four kills, finished with a 0.267 hitting percentage, the highest on the team. She also led Bemidji in assists with 22.

Sammy Nistler, Jordan Pemberton and Franny Mamugay all notched double-digit dig totals, finishing with 14, 13 and 11, respectively.
