There were a number of local runners from Bemidji who competed in Grandma's Marathon on Saturday.
Lee Hanson was Bemidji's top finisher and placed 480 out of 6,333 total runners.

He finished the 26.2 mile course from Two Harbors to Canal Park in Duluth in three hours, 14 minutes and 35 seconds. His average mile was 7:26 in 50-degree weather with grey skies and light rain.
Hanson, 52, was also Bemidji's oldest competitor in the race and finished 21st out of 367 men in the 50-54 age group.
There were a total of 12 runners from Bemidji who participated in the marathon.
Adam McCullough, Drew Seefeldt and Aaron McCullough all posted sub four-hour times.
Adam McCullough finished the race in 3:23:10, Seefeldt in 3:24:00 and Aaron McCullough in 3:56:46.
Michael Munson finished the race in 4:04:31, Adam Flynn in 4:04:59, Robert Yuretich in 4:10:12, Wayne Tieman in 4:38:47, Jessica Niemi in 4:43:56, Jeff Brower in 4:56:26, Josh McPhee in 5:00:48 and Kerry Openshaw in 5:28:11.
The average finishing time at Grandma's Marathon this year was 4:16:35.

Robert Jenson, 21, was Bemidji's top finisher in the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and posted a time of 1:18:58 in the 13.1 mile race. He finished 95th out of 5,990 runners and was 91st in the men's division.
Melissa Johnson was Bemidji's top female finisher and she finished the race in 1:37:06 to place 91st out of 3,459 female runners.
There were 17 total runners from Bemidji who finished the Half Marathon.
Jon Shorter finished the race in 1:38:53, Brian Voge in 1:39:35, Andrea Nelson in 1:40:22, Terry Smith in 1:57:17, Lindsay Hanson in 1:59:13, Cassie Maish in 2:01:29, Jeremiah Johnson in 2:05:08, Tonya Prim in 2:13:06, Kevin Cease in 2:24:34, Amy Riley in 2:29:04, Deanna Murphy in 2:29:04, Tracy Brower in 2:34:49, Heidi Hansen in 2:40:35, Linnea McPhee in 2:42:04 and Barb Meuers in 3:07:16.
The average finish in the Half Marathon this year was 2:06.45.
