AUSTIN — Bemidji State men's golf junior Logan Schoepp earned his second consecutive College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America selection and became the program’s first-ever Academic All-America First Team honoree.
Schoepp was named to the CSC Academic All-America Division II Men’s At-Large team announced by the organization on Wednesday. He repeats as a CSC Academic All-American after earning Third Team honors last year. Schoepp is one of just 17 members on the first team across the nation, while just 45 student-athletes across D-II earned Academic All-America status. Just 18 student-athletes on the list are repeat selections, including Schoepp.

Schoepp, an Accounting and Business Administration major, has earned a 3.99 cumulative grade-point average studying at Bemidji State while also earning elite status on the golf course. He won the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament individual championship this spring, becoming the 17th Beaver to earn the crown and is an All-NSIC First Team selection this past season.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America program, student-athletes must have achieved elite status on the playing surface and in the classroom. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Men’s golf student-athletes must also be in the lineup for 70% of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
Student-athletes then earn Academic All-District honors while a select group of nominees advance to the national ballot, where CSC members vote on Academic All-America teams.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions. Teams are announced year-round and amplified by CSC member colleges, universities, and conferences on a wide local, regional, national and even international scope.
Schoepp is the program’s first-ever CSC Academic All-American and the 28th at Bemidji State. He is just the 13th student-athlete ever at BSU to be named to the First Team.
