Beavers score 2 late, get season鈥檚 1st win against Quincy

FAYETTE, Iowa 鈥� The Bemidji State women鈥檚 soccer team was just over four minutes away from being shut out for a third straight match to open the season.

Then Katrina Barthelt scored.

Barthelt鈥檚 strike in the 76th minute preceded Maria Stocke鈥檚 penalty kick goal in the 78th minute. It pushed the Beavers to a 2-1 win over Quincy (0-3-0).

BSU (1-2-0) goalkeeper Sonia Alfieri stopped four shots, while Julia Mincher made eight saves for Quincy.
