SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Beavers have matched their win total from the 2024 season.

The Bemidji State baseball team came away with one victory in its four-game road series against Sioux Falls this past weekend, collecting its third win of the year and moving to 3-23. Last season’s final record was 3-47.

BSU started the series off strong, defeating the Cougars 11-4 in seven innings. Dylan Hedley and Zach Evenson led the way in the batter’s box, notching a hit and a home run apiece.

Brandon Lind picked up the win on the mound for the Beavers, tossing 5.2 innings while allowing eight hits and three earned runs. He also issued a pair of walks and six strikes.

Sioux Falls came away with a comfortable 10-2 win in game two, collecting 13 hits while allowing just six.

Bemidji State kept things closer in the third game of the series. The game was tied 0-0 until the top of the sixth, when the Cougars scored an unearned run to capture a 1-0 lead. USF clung on to its slight lead for a 1-0 victory.

Sioux Falls batters were red hot in the final game of the series, tallying 22 hits and 16 runs for a 16-6 win.
