GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The Bemidji State women’s tennis season has officially come to a close.

The Beavers ended the 2025 season with a pair of 7-0 losses to Minnesota State Moorhead and U-Mary in Grand Forks, North Dakota, over the weekend.

In Friday’s loss to the Dragons, BSU’s lone victory came in No. 1 doubles. Mia Leshem and Sophie Groen paired up to defeat Luzmary Diaz and Shaelyn Johnson 6-3. However, MSUM came away with the doubles point by winning at No. 2 and No. 3.

Groen and Leshem put up the most competitive singles matches against Minnesota State Moorhead, each losing in three-set thrillers.

On Saturday, U-Mary dominated both singles and doubles to defeat the Beavers. All singles competitions were decided in two sets. Leshem and Groen kept things close at No. 1 doubles, but suffered a 6-4 loss. Likewise, Valesca Rodriguez and Lauren Rutten lost a tight 6-4 match at No. 2 doubles.

Bemidji State ends the season with a 7-9 overall record, 3-6 in conference.
