Hailey Armstrong nabs Beavers’ 1st Forward of the Week honor in 3 years

The Bemidji State women’s hockey team wasn’t done with firsts from its weekend series against Lindenwood.

BEMIDJI – The Bemidji State women’s hockey team wasn’t done with firsts from its weekend series against Lindenwood.

Sophomore Hailey Armstrong took home her first WCHA Forward of the Week nod after recording her first-career hat trick in a 6-3 win over Lindenwood on Friday night. Armstrong finished with a plus-3 on-ice rating over the weekend. Armstrong’s 14 shots on goal on Friday set the program record for the most in a single game.

Armstrong became the first Bemidji State player to be named Forward of the Week since Reece Hunt earned the honor during the 2021-22 season. Armstrong was named Rookie of the Week on Nov. 20, 2023, during her freshman season.

Wisconsin took home two weekly awards. Caroline Harvey earned Defender of the Week, while Ava McNaighton was named Goaltender of the Week. St. Cloud State’s Emilia Kyrkko won Rookie of the Week.
