Beavers shut out by 11th-ranked Huskies in another low-scoring battle

The Bemidji State women’s hockey team was shut out for a third consecutive game on Friday afternoon at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.

The Bemidji State women’s hockey team was shut out for a third consecutive game on Friday afternoon at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.

Emma Gentry scored for St. Cloud State with three and a half minutes left in the first period. Sofianna Sundelin and Siiri Yrjölä added power-play goals in the second period, with two assists from Alice Sauriol and secondary helpers from Greta Henderson and Sundelin. Sauriol assisted on all three goals for SCSU.

Kaitlin Groess made 28 saves for Bemidji State in goal for the Beavers (4-19-1, 2-15-0 WCHA), while Emilia Kyrkkö stopped all 17 saves for the Huskies (11-8-4, 6-8-3 WCHA).
