I have worked with individuals with disabilities for the past 20 years. The work that direct care professionals do is hard yet rewarding. Many people who work in this field do not do it for the pay, but let's face it, it costs a lot of money to survive in this economy. The individuals who need our services deserve to have staff who are competent and can stay long-term with them.
