Born in 1940, I have lived through World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Afghan War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and I served in the U.S. Air Force for five years during the Cold War as a Russian linguist. I practiced as an attorney for over 30 years. With that history, I no longer recognize my America.

The values I was taught and believed in no longer exist, which saddens me, and as I near the end of my life, I question what will become of the American promise and dream.
